Bowie Man Wisdom
People often ask me, "what is my favorite form of photography?" I often answer, "I really don't have a favorite, because it can be anything that catches my eye with a unique form of beauty."

Last week I posted on Instagram a portrait of an older gentleman. Our warm and lengthy verbal exchange of words reminded me of an important lesson, "never judge a book by its cover." Here is a snippet of the post.
“Never judge a man without first listening to his story. -
On an assignment and sitting in front of a coffee shop, I had a self-revealing conversation with this great-great-grandfather. He served our country in the great war to preserve our American freedoms. I am sure he had a story for every wrinkle on his face and precious strand of white hair. He shared a wealth of history with me in our brief moment together. His eyes are a window into a life well lived. I walked away rich for my short time spent with him. He allowed me to take this image of him. I am forever grateful for the unexpected.”
There was something else special about him. He had one of the most beautiful cobalt blue Chevrolet pickups I had ever seen. So you know I was honored when he allowed me to photograph it. I put together this string of still-images to honor our time together. I will never forget him.
